Contro Valve Hosts Signing of 10-Year Strategic Alliance with Bruce Power During OCNI Event
Contro Valve was honoured, on October 15, 2025 to host a milestone event organized by the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) as part of its Supplier Engagement Series. Held at our Burlington facility, the gathering celebrated the signing of a 10-year strategic alliance agreement between Bruce Power and Contro Valve, aimed at strengthening Canada’s nuclear supply chain.
The ceremony welcomed industry leaders and government representatives, including Karina Gould, Member of Parliament for Burlington, Natalie Pierre, Member of Provincial Parliament, and Marianne Meed Ward, Mayor of Burlington. Together, they emphasized the importance of long-term collaboration and local investment in advancing Canada’s clean energy future.

This partnership, aligned with Bruce Power’s Canadian at Our Core strategy, includes over $10 million in investments over the next decade. It will support equipment reliability, cost certainty, and nuclear energy projects that will provide 30 per cent of Ontario’s electricity for decades to come. It also contributes to the Bruce C project, a vital step toward a clean energy future for Ontario.
“This agreement reaffirms Contro Valve’s role as a long-term, trusted partner in the Canadian nuclear industry. Our dedicated and growing team in Burlington, built on over 25 years of expertise, is ready to deliver the critical valves, instrumentation, and local support essential to the next generation of safe and reliable nuclear power in Ontario,” said Chris Tremblay, Nuclear Manager at Contro Valve.

“The nuclear power industry is extremely important to Contro Valve. It represents approximately 20 per cent of our annual revenue, and we are proud to take on the responsibility of being a key supplier helping to maintain Ontario’s energy supply. This alliance with Bruce Power strengthens our commitment to supporting their future projects and contributing to the province’s energy security,” said Donald Murdock, Director of Operations at Contro Valve.

With five locations across Canada and up to 150 employees, Contro Valve is proud to actively contribute to both local and national economies. This partnership exemplifies how strategic alliances in the nuclear sector can drive local economic growth, create high-quality jobs, and support Canada’s net-zero ambitions.
“Partnerships like this reinforce local manufacturing, support high-quality jobs, and lay the groundwork for new nuclear,” Bruce Power stated in its official release.
We extend our sincere thanks to OCNI for the special recognition and for choosing our Burlington site as the venue for this landmark event. At Contro Valve, we remain committed to supporting innovation, reliability, and sustainability in Canada’s nuclear energy sector.
